For Account-Based Attribution

For Account-Based Attribution, there are 6 requirements for a Campaign Member to be eligible for Attribution:

1. The Campaign must be Active
2. The Campaign Member record has a Member Status that is mapped to Responded (checkbox)
3. The Campaign Member record has Lock Campaign Member set to FALSE
4. Opportunity records have Lock Opportunity set to FALSE
5. The Campaign Member record is associated to a Contact on the Account or a Lead matched to the Account via an Account Lookup field on the Lead
6. The Engagement Date on the Campaign Member is within the Sourced Attribution Duration (in days) time frame or is between the [AB] Associated Opportunity Create Date (or custom field) and Close Date (or custom field).

For Opportunity-Based Attribution

For Opportunity-Based Attribution, there are 6 requirements for a Campaign Member to be eligible for Attribution:

1. The Campaign must be Active
2. The Campaign Member record has a Member Status that is mapped to Responded (checkbox)
3. The Campaign Member record has Lock Campaign Member set to FALSE
4. Opportunity records have Lock Opportunity set to FALSE
5. The Campaign Member record is associated to a Contact with a Contact Role on the Opportunity
6. The Engagement Date on the Campaign Member is within the Sourced Attribution Duration (in days) time frame or is between the [OB] Associated Opportunity Create Date (or custom field) and Close Date (or custom field).

Here is a summary of the steps:

1. Access Object Manager
• Go to Setup in Salesforce.
• Navigate to Object Manager.
• Use the Quick Find search bar to locate Campaign Member.
2. Find and Edit the Attribution Fields
• Click on Campaign Member and go to Field Relationships.
• In the Quick Find, search for Amount.
• You'll see 10 default amount fields created by Alignly in the unmanaged package.
• Open one of the formula fields.
3. Modify the Formula Field
• The formula field calculates attribution by multiplying the touchpoint weight by the associated Opportunity amount.
• To change it from Amount to ARR:
• Click Edit on the formula field.
• Replace Amount with ARR__c (or the API name of your ARR field).
• If unsure of the API name, click Insert, navigate to Associated Opportunity, find ARR, and insert it into the formula.
4. Update the Field Label (Optional)
• The field label may still display as "Amount."
• You can change the label to "ARR" for clarity.
• Do not change the field name (API Name) as it will break reports and dashboards.
5. Save the Changes
• Click Save to apply the update.
• Repeat this process for all 10 default amount fields if needed.
6. (Optional) Keep Both Amount & ARR Fields
• If you want flexibility in reporting, consider duplicating the amount fields instead of replacing them.
• This allows both Amount and ARR to be available for different reports, though it may create some confusion.

1. Add Custom Fields to the Campaign Member Object
• Go to Setup → Object Manager → Campaign Member.
• Click on Fields & Relationships.
• Create the Percent Field (Weight):
• Click New Field → Select Percent.
• Set Label: [AB] Time Decay Sourced Weight.
• Set Length = 16 and Decimals = 2.
• Save the field and copy the API Name.
• Create the Formula Field (Weighted Amount):
• Click New Field → Select Formula.
• Set Label: [AB] Time Decay Sourced Amount.
• Set Return Type: Currency (0 or 2 decimals).
• Enter Formula:
• AB_Time_Decay_Sourced_Weight__c * algnatt__AB_Associated_Opportunity__r.Amount
• Set Blanks as Blanks and validate the formula.
• Save the field.
2. Configure Alignly Attribution Custom Settings
• Go to Setup → Quick Find → Custom Settings.
• Select Alignly Attribution Settings → Click Manage → Edit.
• Find [AB] Time Decay Sourced Field and paste the copied API Name.
• Ensure no extra spaces before or after the API Name.
• Click Save.
3. Activate the Model in Alignly Attribution
• Return to Alignly Attribution.
• Confirm the [AB] Time Decay Sourced model is turned on.
• Run manually or wait for the next scheduled job.
4. Update the Custom Report Type
• Add both the Weight and Amount fields to the custom report type.
• (Refer to the separate video for detailed steps.)

1. Navigate to Custom Report Types in Salesforce
• Go to Setup → In the Quick Find, type Report Types.
• Locate and select Campaigns with Members and Ops.
2. Switch to Classic (If Needed)
• If the page does not load properly in Lightning (e.g., spinning icon issue), switch to Salesforce Classic.
• Once in Classic, navigate again to Report Types → Select Campaigns with Members and Ops.
3. Edit the Report Type Layout
• Click Edit Layout.
4. Add Fields Related via Lookup
• To add an Opportunity field, select Campaign Member Fields → Click Add Fields Related Via Lookup.
• Select the [AB] Associated Opportunity or [OB] Associated Opportunity lookup.
• Choose the desired field, e.g., ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), and confirm the selection.
• Repeat the process if you want to add the field for both Account-Based and Opportunity-Based attributions.
5. Add Other Related Fields (Optional)
• You can also add fields related to Contacts and Leads from the lookup fields.
• If you need a field that combines Lead and Contact values, consider creating a Formula Field on the Campaign Member object.
6. Save and Apply Changes
• Once all necessary fields are added, click Save.
• The new fields will now be available for use in reports and filters.
