1. After installing, go to the Align.ly Beacon tab in Salesforce by clicking on the App Launcher (9 dots) and searching "Align.ly Beacon". This loads the default settings.

Understanding the Align.ly Beacon Permission Sets

• Align.ly Beacon includes two permission sets that should be assigned to Salesforce users:
  • Align.ly Beacon Admin
  • Align.ly Beacon User
• Align.ly Beacon Admin is for admins who configure the app, including:
  • Global Settings
  • Dashboard filters
  • Business Hours Mapping
  • Creating Motions and Actions
• Align.ly Beacon User is for non-admin users who need read-only access:
  • Can view and interact with the Align.ly Beacon dashboard
  • Cannot change configuration or app settings

Assign a Permission Set in Salesforce

1. Go to Setup.
2. In the Quick Find box, type Permission Sets.
3. You will see two Align.ly Beacon permission sets:
   • Align.ly Beacon Admin
   • Align.ly Beacon User
4. Click the permission set you want to assign.
5. Click Manage Assignments.
6. Click Add Assignment.
7. Select the user(s) you want to assign the permission set to.
8. Click Next.
9. Choose No expiration date.
10. Click Assign.

In this step, we are going to make three modifications to your Camapign Lightning Record Page Layout(s): Add a tab for Align.ly Beacon, add the Align.ly Beacon Dashboard lightning component to the tab, and add the Align.ly Beacon Recalc Campaign button.

Navagate to your Campaign Lightning Record Page Layout

1. In Salesforce, go to Setup.
2. Click on Object Manager
3. Click on Campaign
4. Click on Lightning Record Pages
5. Click into the Lightning Record Page in use and then click the Edit button.

NOTE: If you do not have a Campaign Lightning Record Page you will need to create a new Record Page. We recommend using the Grouped Header and One Region layout template.

Adding a Tab

1. On the Lightning Record Page, click into the existing tabs (most likely "Related" and "Details").
2. In the right sidebar, click Add Tab.
3. Click on the newly created tab and under Tab Label select Custom.
4. Type "Align.ly Beacon" into the Custom Label
5. Click Done

Adding the Align.ly Beacon lightning component

1. On the Lightning Record Page, click into the Align.ly Beacon tab you just created.
2. In the left sidebar under Components, search Align.ly Beacon Dashboard.
3. Drag the Align.ly Beacon Dashboard component into the Align.ly Beacon tab.

Adding the Align.ly Beacon Recalc Campaign button

1. On the Lightning Record Page, click into the Header (Highlights Panel) section with buttons.
2. In the right panel, click Add Action.
3. In Actions, select Align.ly Beacon Recalc Campaign
4. Click Done

Save your Lightning Record Page and you are done with this step!

We recommend adding two sections to your Campaign Member page layout: Align.ly Beacon Fields and Custom Align.ly Beacon Fields

To update the Campaign Member page layout, follow these steps:

1. In Salesforce, go to Setup.
2. Click on Object Manager
3. Click on the Campaign Member object.
4. Click on Page Layouts (note you may need to update your Lightning page layout instead).
5. Add the Sections and Fields to the page layout as seen below (note you may not have the fields in the Custom Align.ly Beacon Fields section created yet).

6. Click Save.

Align.ly Beacon's dashboard components use Chart.js, which require Lightning Web Security to be enabled.

To check and/or enable Lightning Web Security, follow these steps:

1. In Salesforce, go to Setup.
2. In the Quick Find box, enter Session and then click on Session Settings.
3. In the Quick Find box, enter Session and then click on Session Settings.
4. On the Session Settings page, select Use Lightning Web Security for Lightning web components and Aura components.

5. Click Save.

NOTE: Refer to Salesforce's documentation on When to Enable Lighting Web Security for more information on enabling this feature.

To activate Align.ly Beacon, follow these steps:

1. In the App Launcher in Salesforce search for and click on Align.ly Beacon.
2. In the left panel toggle Activate Align.ly Beacon to Active.

For any existing Salesforce Campaigns that you would like to backfill with Align.ly Beacon data, you can run a "Recalculation" on the Salesforce Campaign.

To run a "Recalculation" on the Salesforce Campaign to backfill the Align.ly Beacon data, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Salesforce Campaign that you want to recalculate and backfill.
2. Click the Align.ly Beacon Recalc Campaign button (added to the page layout in Step #3 above).

After a couple minutes, you should see data in Align.ly Beacon for that Salesforce Campaign assuming Campaign Member records in the Campaign match the criteria of an Align.ly Beacon Motion.
