This is the internal name of the Contact Role Association Rule. It is limited to 80 characters.

We recommend naming your Contact Role Association Rule with a very specific description as when an automatic association is made we will update a field called "Auto Association Rule Name" on the Contact Role record.

Setting the "Active" checkbox to TRUE will turn on the Contact Role Association Rule. This allows you to build a rule and share it with others before officially turning it on and running the rule.

Priority controls the order in which your Contact Role Association Rules are executed within each Source Object Type (Task, Event, and Campaign Member). "1" is the highest priority so therefore it will get executed before "2" and so on.

The "Look Back Window (in days)" setting is designed to optimize how much data is processed by Align.ly Contact Role. Based on what you select for your "Source Object Type" (Task, Event, or Campaign Member) and the date/time field reference in "Source Object Date/Time Field", Align.ly Contact Role will query and process only the records that are within the "Look Back Window (in days)".

For example, if I select Task as my "Source Object Type" and use CreatedDate as my "Source Object Date/Time Field" and use 30 days as my "Look Back Window (in days)" then Align.ly Contact Role will query and process all Tasks created within the last 30 days.

The default value for the Look Back Window is 45 days and the Look Back Window needs to be a value greater than the "Days Before Opportunity Creation" setting.

The "Days Before Opportunity Creation" setting is designed to enable you to only associate Source Object (Task, Event, Campaign Member) records that happen within a certain number of days before the Opportunity is created.

This is helpful to prevent someone you might have had an Event logged with from 2 years ago to cause an automatic Contact Role association.

The default value for "Days Before Opportunity Creation" is 30 days.

"Source Object Type" is the source object - Task, Event, or Campaign Member - that is used to start the auto-association process.

"Source Object Date/Time Field" is the API Name of the date/time field you want to use on your Source Object (Task, Event, and Campaign Member).

By default, the setting has a value of CreatedDate, which is the created date of the Task, Event, or Campaign Member records.

For most users, CreatedDate will be sufficient. However, if you do want to use a custom field, be sure the field exists on the Source Object (Task, Event, or Campaign Member) and that it the field type is date/time.

The "Role" is the name of the Contact Role that you want to use when the Contact Role Association Rule is met.

Note that the "Role" is case sensitive, so you want to confirm it matches exactly.
