A Motion in Align.ly Beacon is short for "go-to-market motion" and is where you configure your Response Time SLA as well as your Attempts over Days SLA.

Campaign Member is the Salesforce object used to trigger a Motion, so the WHERE Clause is off of the Campaign Member record.

Only the Campaign Member records that meet the criteria of a Motion will be evaluated by Align.ly Beacon.

Motions have a Priority Order, so you can make the WHERE Clause criteria "waterfall" in terms of the order in which your Motions execute.

To add a Motion, follow these steps:

1. In Salesforce, go to Align.ly Beacon by searching in the App Launcher ("waffle" or "9 dots" icon)
2. Click on the Motions tab
3. Click New
4. Complete the required fields
5. Click Save

Here are the field defintions when configuring a Motion:

Motion Name

1. Give your Motion a Name.
2. It could be something like "Handraiser" or "High Intent" or "Partner".
3. The Motion name will be a Dashboard Filter option.

Date/Time Field

1. This is a date/time field on Campaign Member.
2. Align.ly Beacon will use this date/time field for calculations like Response Time SLA and Attempts Over Days SLA.

Follow-Up Attempt SLA

1. This is the Attempt number in the Attempts Over Days SLA

Follow-Up Period SLA

1. This is the Days number in the Attempts Over Days SLA
2. The Attempts Over Days SLA uses Business Hours.

Response Time SLA (mins)

1. This is the number of Business Hour minutes used in the Response Time SLA.

Sequence Period (days)

1. This is the number of calendar days in which follow-up will be tracked from the Date/Time Field.
2. This setting is important to follow-up isn't tracked indefinitely.

Priority Order

1. This controls the priority in which your Motions will execute.
2. Once a Campaign Member meets a Motion criteria, it will be evaluated on that Motion.

WHERE Clause

1. This is where you configure the Motion criteria.
2. The WHERE Clause is written from the Campaign Member object.
3. For example, if you wanted to have a Motion for "Demo Request" and "Demo Request" was a Camapign Type, you could write Campaign.Type = 'Demo Request' in the WHERE Clause.

1. From the Campaign Member record, looks at the "Type" field on Account by navigating through the Contact.
2. Campaign.Type = 'Event'
1. From the Campaign Member record, looks at the "Type" field on Campaign.
3. Campaign.Type = 'Webinar' AND Status = 'Attended'
1. From Camapign Member, looks at the "Type" field on Camapign and then the Member Status field on Campaign Member.
